How to get to the island of Korcula

The island of Korcula has no airport, so you will have to fly to Split or Dubrovnik, and then from there find other means of transport to Korcula.

By ferry from Split

There is a daily ferry service from Split to Vela Luka on the west coast of the island. The journey takes about three and a half hours, and ferries sail all year round. (Twice a day during the summer, twice a day except Saturday and Sunday off season). For faster transport you can use the catamaran which also sails daily from Split to Vela Luka. The journey takes about an hour and 45 minutes, and the catamaran will stop in the town of Hvar. There is also a catamaran line from Split to Prigradica and the town of Korcula (also stops in Hvar), and this takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes. During the summer months, Split and Korcula are also linked by the coastal ferry. This line can go twice a week, and the trip takes about six hours. All the above mentioned lines are operated by Jadrolinija.

By ferry from Dubrovnik

Coastal ferry line to Korcula also sails from Dubrovnik. Journey between Dubronik and Korcula takes about 4 hours and 10 minutes. This line is only active during the summer when you can use it twice a week. During July and August ferry company "G&V line" organizes catamaran transport between Dubrovnik and Korcula (stopping at Sobra and Polace on the island of Mljet). Journey to Korcula takes about two and a half hours.

By ferry from Orebic

Korcula is located very close to the mainland - just 3.5 kilometers from the coast, and there are ferry services that link from the mainland (Orebic on the Peljesac peninsula) to the island of Korcula. Good to know that there is this line if you are looking for different options to come to this South Dalmatian island (for example, if you can catch a bus from Dubrovnik to Orebic, or if you have your car and you want to get a ferry to Korcula). Jadrolinija operates ferry line from Orebic to Dominca, which is a suburb of the town of Korcula. Town of Korcula can be reached on foot in about thirty minutes, or you can use the local buses or taxi. The lines are very frequent. Ferries sail almost every half hour, even out of season. The journey takes about half an hour.

The journey to Korcula by bus from Dubrovnik

Island of Korcula can be reached daily by bus which goes from Dubrovnik to Korcula island.
